Mark Murphy, the Green Bay Packers president, recently has had some interesting comments regarding the Aaron Rodgers situation. Before Rodgers expressed his intentions to go to the Jets, Murphy stumbled over a statement that basically telegraphed what the Packers were thinking of the situation. Now that the cat is out of the bag, Murphy is being asked a lot about what the compensation will look like. This time, Murphy is being tight-lipped.
Mark Murphy spoke at a Tech Summit at Lambeau Field Monday:
"I would love to tell you everything you want to know about Aaron Rodgers and the Jets but I'm sworn to secrecy not to say anything."https://t.co/fGg78JRBrY pic.twitter.com/duT7uHDDo8

Mark Murphy On The Aaron Rodgers Situation
Murphy would love nothing more than to share with people what is going on. “I would love to tell you everything you want to know about Aaron Rodgers and the Jets but I’m sworn to secrecy not to say anything,” Murphy said in a recent interview. It seems the Packers’ front office has instructed Murphy not to say much about what is going on. GM Brian Gutekunst is busy trying to get a deal done that is going to get the best package for the future hall-of-fame quarterback. Murphy is going to keep the secret until the deal is done officially.

When Will A Deal Be Done?
While a deal could be done any day, it seems likely that the deadline is April’s draft. Most likely draft capital will be included in the compensation meaning the teams need to decide where picks are going by the draft. There are many theories out there about exactly what the Packers can get but the Packers will be getting some extra draft capital one way or another. While the consensus is that a deal will get done, many Packers fans are simply ready for it all to be over.
If fans were hoping that Mark Murphy was going to spill the beans, they were disappointed. Murphy is going to let the front office do their thing and get as much compensation as they can for Aaron Rodgers.
