The Green Bay Packers are in an unfamiliar spot. Not only are they the underdogs this week, they’re the biggest underdogs of Aaron Rodgers’ career. The Packers are a big 10.5-point underdog at BetMGM against the Bills for the Sunday night game. Rodgers has never been an underdog of double digits in his career. As Joe DiBiase of WGR in Buffalo pointed out, the biggest underdog the Packers have ever been with Rodgers at quarterback was +8.5 at the Seattle Seahawks in 2014. The Packers lost that Week 1 game against the defending champion Seahawks 36-16. According to Marcedes Lewis, Aaron Rodgers is doing something a little different this week in preparation for the Buffalo Bills.
Aaron Rodgers Is Approaching This Week Differently
NFL Network’s Stacey Dales says Green Bay Packers tight end Marcedes Lewis told her the Packers offense has been “weird” and “eerie” so far in 2022. Even after the Davante Adams trade, not many predicted the Packers’ offense to be this stale. After three brutal losses in a row, Aaron Rodgers is reportedly doing something a little different this week.
One of the things he has done this week is challenging guys more. “I asked Lewis what Is 12 doing that’s a little bit different maybe this week?” He’s always been a leader by example just like Marcedes Lewis. He is being more vocal this week. In meetings, he’s challenging guys. Asking things like “what did you see here?” Maybe at a different level than he normally does to really understand what’s in their mind.
With the upcoming matchup seemingly being the most difficult of the season, this is at least a good start. The Packers need to play near perfect to eke out a win in Buffalo. Not only are the Packers trying to get their season back on track, but they are trying to make history. The Packers are 0-6 all-time in Buffalo. They are looking for their first-ever franchise win on the road vs the Buffalo Bills.
