The Madison Mallards, a collegiate summer baseball team based in Madison, Wisconsin that plays in the Northwoods League, recently announced the newest member of their Hall of Fame. That player is current New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso.
Pete Alonso played for the Madison Mallards in 2014.

After completing his first year of collegiate baseball in the SEC with the Florida Gators Pete Alonso played summer baseball in 2014 with the Madison Mallards. That year he tore the Northwoods league up as he posted a .354/.419/.624 slash line across 59 games that included 18 home runs and 53 RBI. The summer afterwards he played in the CapeCod league and then was drafted in 2016.

Pete Alonso will be one of the most highly coveted free agents this off-season.
