Luke Fickell Announces That Michael Caputo Will Stay With Wisconsin
Luke Fickell said Michael Caputo will be staying with the #Badgers in 2023. Caputo is in his first season with UW as a defensive assistant. Fickell also offered Caputo as a high school safety prospect. Pennsylvania native chose UW over Ohio State.
Caputo attended the University of Wisconsin where he played safety for the Badgers. He was there from 2011 through 2015. He was a starter for three seasons, 2013–2015. Caputo also played in the NFL for the Los Angeles Rams. His most recent employment (before Wisconsin) was working as the safeties coach for Utah State. The news was met with a lot of praise from Badgers Twitter:
Wow this is big. Very very smart player and I think he’s gonna be a good coach.

He gonna be Jimmy 2.0

Really like this and that Fickell is not afraid to hire from within still.

These types of hires go a long ways within the University. It is great to see Fickell earning so much respect so early on in his coaching career at Wisconsin. This is yet another step in the right direction for the UW program.
