The Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams are preparing for their Week Nine matchup at Lambeau Field this weekend. Both teams are in desperate need of a win. The Packers (2-5) are coming off three straight losses while the Rams (3-5) are coming off two straight losses.
The Rams got some unfortunate news regarding their starting quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford is reportedly dealing with a UCL strain in his right thumb and is listed as day to day. In the wake of this news, the Rams have made a move at the position.
The Los Angeles Rams Sign Quarterback Dresser Winn Prior To Their Matchup With The Green Bay Packers

The Rams (in a failed attempt) on Tuesday tried to sign quarterback John Wolford before the 28-year-old signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers active roster.
Now they’re aiming to sign Dresser Winn, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.
“The Rams are hoping to add quarterback Dresser Winn (I believe to the practice squad) pending passing his physical, per sources. Winn was with the team in training camp,” Rodrigue wrote. “One small point of interest – Winn also punted in college and Rams punter Ethan Evans has a sprained ankle.”
What Does This News Mean For The Packers And Rams Week Nine Matchup?
It is certainly an interesting move given Stafford’s status. If the Rams weren’t concerned at all regarding Stafford’s availability, they likely wouldn’t have made a move at quarterback. While many fans still remain optimistic that their Super Bowl winning quarterback will play on Sunday, this move make make those same fans wary.
The Packers will host the Rams at Lambeau Field on Sunday November 5th at 12:00 PM.
