The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently playing a series in Milwaukee against the Brewers. Like other teams before them they are staying at the Pfister Hotel. According to rumors, that hotel may be haunted. Due to this superstar Mookie Betts is refusing to stay there and has instead rented out an air bnb.
When asked about it, Mookie Betts said that he doesn’t really believe in ghosts but he doesn’t want to find out that he is wrong. As a “just in case” he is electing to stay elsewhere. This hotel has become famous for spooking some MLB players, so it’s easy to understand why he made the decision.
Why won’t Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts stay at this Milwaukee hotel?
According to JR Radcliffe of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, stories from MLB players of this hotel being haunted dates back to the early 2000s. In 2001 Adrian Beltre, who was with the Los Angeles Dodgers at that time, said he heard knocking at his door even with the TV and air conditioner turned off.
Superstar Bryce Harper described a story in 2012 in which he laid a pair of jeans and a shirt on the table before going to bed. When he woke up his clothes were on the floor and the table was on the opposite side of the room.
Multiple St. Louis Cardinals players have reported stories over the years. During the 2018 season Carlos Martinez and Marcell Ozuna thought they saw a floating ghost that correlated with something similar that they had seen on Instagram.
There have been multiple other stories over the years as well, but one thing we know for sure is that Mookie Betts will not have a ghost story to tell because he is not taking any changes when it comes to a potentially haunted hotel.
