Rookie starting pitcher Logan Henderson is off to a phenomenal start in the big leagues. He made his MLB debut with the Brewers back on April 20, was sent back down to the minors afterwards, but has come back just as strong, putting together a historic stretch over his first three starts.
Logan Henderson statistics over three games

Through three games, Henderson has over-performed all expectations. He has tossed 16.0 innings, has a 1.69 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, .164 batting average against, and has 23 strikeouts. Henderson has limited the free passes, issuing just four all together. Here’s how he has performed in each contest:
- April 20 vs Athletics – 6.0 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 ER, 9 K
- May 14 vs Guardians – 5.0 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 2 ER, 7 K
- May 20 vs Orioles – 5.0 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 0 ER, 7 K
Two Milwaukee Brewers franchise records were set against the Baltimore Orioles

Against the Orioles, Henderson set two Brewers records. According to Mike Vassalo, he became the first pitcher in franchise history to begin his career 3-0. Additionally, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel revealed that he is the first Milwaukee player to have at least seven strikeouts or more in their first three major league starts, and just the 10th since 1901 to accomplish this.

Throughout the history of the Brewers, Henderson trails only Freddy Peralta for the most strikeouts through three games. Peralta recorded 25 to begin his career, whereas Henderson is at 23.
If his first three outings are any indication, Henderson is quickly proving he belongs in the big leagues. With poise, resilience, and a touch of history already under his belt, the rookie is giving the Brewers, and their fans, plenty to be excited about moving forward.
