Everybody loves to pick on the Green Bay Packers these days. There is a newly-promoted head coach taking shot at Matt LaFleur. The whole league pinning everything on them on the tush push controversy. Now, a rookie hoping to earn admiration from fans by taking a shot at the Packers.

There’s something magical about getting drafted by an NFL team you grew up watching and that’s what happened to Isaac TeSlaa who was selected 70th overall by the Detroit Lions.
TeSlaa hails from Michigan and grew up watching the Lions and comes with it is witnessing the team’s rivalry with the Packers. This is why he has strong words for their division rivals.

“I hate the Packers with a burning passion,” he said during an appearance at St. Brown Brothers Podcast hosted by NFL players Amon-Ra and Equanimeous who was once a Packer.
TeSlaa, who plays wide receiver, had a decent career with Arkansas before declaring for the NFL draft. He finished the 2024 season with 28 receptions for 545 yards and three touchdowns.
Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions bigger than with Bears?
TeSlaa’s fired shots is just another chapter of the growing rivalry between the Packers and the Lions.
Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson tried to goad LaFleur, creating interesting headlines coming in to the 2025 season.
However, for LaFleur who grew up in Michigan, the Packers-Lions rivalry is bigger now compared to that of Packers-Bears field feud.

“Detroit… right now, they’re the class of the NFC,” LaFleur said during an appearance at the Up and Adams show by Kay Adams.
Interestingly, the Packers will open the season by hosting the Lions on Week 1.
