LeRoy Butler is a Green Bay legend. One of the reasons he is so beloved in Green Bay is his connection with the fanbase. He interacts with the fans so well and has called the state of Wisconsin his home since he hung up his cleats. In a recent interview on iHeart Radio with Drew & KB, Butler revealed that he hopes running back AJ Dillon never leaves Green Bay.

LeRoy Butler Hopes AJ Dillon Never Leaves Green Bay
Butler brought up Dillon’s name unprompted. He was asked about interacting with fans and talked about how Dillon gets it. “You have people like AJ Dillon who understands what this fanbase is all about,” Butler said during the interview. Dillon has woven himself into the fabric of Green Bay which is what makes him such a beloved player. He is often seen out and about in the city and does programs to better the community around him. If LeRoy Butler is shouting you out, that means you are probably doing good things.
Special Connection With Fans
It is just different in Green Bay. The connection that players have with the fans just seems different than other fan bases. At a recent Milwaukee Brewers game, he was helping hype up the fans and the crowd went nuts. He attends other events at Lambeau Field and often interacts with the fans. He genuinely seems like a guy who is focused on the fans. The people of Green Bay respond to this well which is what makes players like Dillon and Butler so popular.
Butler talked about a lot in the 15-minute interview on iHeart Radio. There were a lot of fun nuggets that he provided (including one about the parking situation in Wisconsin versus New York). I join Butler in hoping that Dillon never leaves Green Bay.
