LeBron James was critical of the Green Bay Packers front office on Thursday night. James appeared on the show The Shop, which is an Amazon Prime Video alternate broadcast of “Thursday Night Football.” He and fellow members of the show discussed trying to maximize the potential of Aaron Rodgers‘ final years in Green Bay.
LeBron James Takes Swipe At Packers and Lakers
On Thursday night, LeBron James questioned why the Green Bay Packers are not trying to do everything they can to surround Rodgers with more talented players. James said; “I feel like it’s a discredit. “When you’ve got a transcendent, franchise player like Aaron Rodgers. A quarterback, obviously we know that the quarterback position in the NFL, besides if you have like a monster defensive end or d-tackle like obviously Aaron Donald. That’s the most important position in the NFL. Why wouldn’t you surround that, when you’ve got the picks, to maximize what he can do?”
LeBron was then asked; “Are we still talking football, or are we talking basketball?” James may have been taking an inadvertent shot at the Lakers. Possibly trying to hint that the Lakers are not surrounding him with enough talent to maximize his final years. For reference, the Los Angeles Lakers currently sit at 4-10, next to last place in the Western Conference.

Aaron Rodgers and LeBron James are in somewhat similar situations at this point in their careers. They both have a long list of impressive accomplishments. However, they now both find themselves struggling on franchises that have a rich history. Do you think LeBron is right? Should the Packers have tried to do more to surround Rodgers with more talent?

Worry about yourself James . But of course you know everything . You are not the best player on the Lakers . I would trade you if I owned the team , but I would have never signed you to begin with. You are too old to build around LeBron . Once great but now aging . Such is life . Your great days are behind you . Retire gracefully .
Stick to basketball. Yur always hurt. Old age with a big mouth. Sounding like Shaq He knows everything just ask him. And like stephen Smith. All mouth mouth
Stay in your lane there dummy. The passive aggressive look is more suited for 17 year old girls.
Shut up and play basketball 🤡🤡🤡
HOF players are supposed to make the players around them better, not the other way around. Brett Favre was able to do that and let’s remember he had only one losing season in 16 years.
When you sink 150 million into Rodgers for three years what do you have left to spend to surround him with more talent. Do the math you bozo!
my answer to the Laker has been is this, we have a quarterback who took up 1/6th of our salary cap. Now we all suffer because of his greed, he has slowed and throwing behind receivers, so his days are numbered as well.
