The Baltimore Ravens’ season came to an end during the Wild Card round of the 2023 NFL playoffs, losing 17-24 to the Cincinnati Bengals. With their season now over, rumors are staring to grow that a Lamar Jackson trade might be in the works for 2023.
The rumor is that NFL executives believe the Ravens will place a franchise tag on Jackson, with plans to trade him in the offseason. Jackson missed the Ravens’ last six games, due to a knee injury that is taking longer than expected to heal.
Lamar Jackson Trade To Jets, Falcons Rumored For 2023

Earlier in January, Connor Hughes said if Lamar Jackson becomes available, the New York Jets “will do everything they can to acquire him.” Jets owner Woody Johnson has also been vocal about going after an experienced quarterback, saying he would ‘absolutely’ be willing to pay for a veteran QB.
Who that veteran quarterback ends up being is still undecided. Names like Derek Carr and Jimmy Garoppolo have also been mentioned as possible solutions. Some believe the Jets are only a quarterback away from being a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
Another team that has been mentioned in Lamar Jackson trade rumors are the Atlanta Falcons. When responding to the report of the franchise tag and trade possibility for Jackson, NFL insider Benjamin Allbright said he expects the Falcons to be ‘at the front of the line.’
It's true. I expect Atlanta to be at the front of the line though.

The Falcons are more than just a Lamar Jackson trade away from being a Super Bowl contender. They need help at almost every position. However, the NFC South should be wide open in 2023, especially if Tom Brady leaves Tampa Bay. So maybe Jackson could lift Atlanta to their first division title since 2016.
At the end of the day, rumors are simply rumors, nothing more. Only time will tell if a Lamar Jackson trade materializes. However, the Jets and Falcons would love to bring him on board, as he would provide an instant boost to any offense.
