The Milwaukee Bucks have a new weapon in town, as they acquired Kyle Kuzma via a trade with the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
The Bucks also got Patrick Baldwin Jr. and a second-round pick while the Wizards received Milwaukee franchise icon Khris Middleton, rookie AJ Johnson and a pick swap. The New York Knicks, who were also part of the deal, got Delon Wright and cash.

It is not exactly clear what Kuzma was trying to say with that post, but it is safe to say that it’s related to his trade to the Bucks. Kuzma is not having a stellar season, but Milwaukee offers a chance for him to turn things around, given that it has a much better situation than the lottery-bound Wizards.
In 32 games so far in the 2024-25 NBA regular season, Kuzma is averaging 15.2 points on just 42.0 percent shooting from the field while also posting just a poor 46.9 effective field goal percentage. That was after he put up 22.2 points on 46.3 field goal percentage and 52.1 effective field goal percentage in the 2023-24 campaign.
Letting go of Middleton was likely not an easy decision for the Bucks, considering his long tenure with them. Middleton also earned three NBA All-Star nods and won an NBA title during his time with Milwaukee.
Kuzma can make his Bucks debut as soon as this coming Friday when Milwaukee takes on the Atlanta Hawks on the road.
