The Packers signed Sammy Watkins earlier this week, but the wide receiver room is far from complete. Soon after signing Watkins, a stat was posted on Twitter by CheeseheadTV highlighting receiver blocking grades. Watkins was atop the list, but the player with the fourth-highest grade was the one drawing attention from Packers quarterback Kurt Benkert.

CheeseheadTV tagged Julio Jones and gave the address for Lambeau Field. One Packer took particular interest in the comment.
I promise to bring good laughs again too https://t.co/7rhvH2vSQw

Why is Benkert Recruiting Julio?

It’s no secret the Packers are in the receiver market after trading Davante Adams. Julio Jones is a former All-Pro but has struggled with health in the past seasons. Benkert and Julio were teammates in Atlanta and Benkert took no time in trying to bring the future Hall of Famer to Green Bay.
Why Julio Jones?

Julio Jones hasn’t had the elite seasons he once had but is still a good receiver. Also, he hasn’t had an elite quarterback play in the last two seasons. If Julio Jones can remain healthy, he can do some real damage with Aaron Rodgers pulling the trigger. Kurt Benkert is doing his part in trying to make it happen.
