The Green Bay Packers quarterback situation seems to be coming to a resolution. In the past 24 hours, Rodgers has reportedly spoken with the New York Jets meaning the team granted him permission to do so. Former Packers backup quarterback and fan favorite Kurt Benkert was on the team with both Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love. He sent out a heartfelt message on social media.
I’ll just say it, I hope Aaron gets traded and he gets to enjoy his last few years somewhere else and makes a few Super Bowl runs and gets another ring.
I also hope J Love KILLS it. He’s had to watch people drafted after him taking over teams while he’s on the bench, not easy.

Kurt Benkert Sends Well Wishes To Aaron Rodgers & Jordan Love
Benkert is in favor of Rodgers getting traded because it is the best of both worlds. Rodgers gets to enjoy the last couple of years of his career in a different place hoping to make another Super Bowl. Love gets the opportunity to start and become a franchise quarterback after sitting for three years something that Benkert said has to have been really tough. “He’s had to watch people drafted after him taking over teams while he’s on the bench,” Benkert said. For Benkert, this seems to be the best of both worlds.

The Waiting Game
We now play the waiting game with the news. Nothing is official yet and you never know what Rodgers will decide to do. All signs point to Rodgers leaving but in this league, we never truly know. The consensus amongst fans seems to be that they want a resolution. The up-in-the-air nature of this situation has left fans feeling uneasy. I think a lot of fans share the sentiment that Benkert has. They are thankful for what Rodgers has done but are excited to see what we have in Love.
With so many players taking hard stances, it is refreshing to see a former teammate take a middle road. He truly wants to see both players succeed when so many fans want to see at least one player fail.
