    Kolten Wong Reaches Milestone, Brewers Mash 3 Home Runs in 7-3 Win

    Kolten Wong has done this a thousand times. Literally. Today’s Brewers finale in Miami marked the 1,000th game in which Wong has played in Major League Baseball.

    Wong marked the milestone by going 2-2 with a home run and two runs. He also walked three times. His home run in the fifth inning was the second of the inning. It immediately followed a solo home run by Jace Peterson.

    Rowdy Tellez continued his breakout season with the Milwaukee Brewers 2-4 with a home run and two RBI. He is now hitting .249/.307/.530 on the year with eight home runs and 29 RBI. His RBI single in the Brewers’ four-run fifth inning gave Milwaukee the lead. Omar Narvaez followed with a RBI single of his own.

    Later in the seventh inning, Tellez hit his eighth home run of the season.

    • Christian Yelich was 0-3, but walked twice

    Woodruff Gets the Win; Ashby Gets the Four-Inning Save

    Brandon Woodruff got his fourth win of the season. He is now 4-2 with a 5.35 ERA. Woody pitched five innings, allowed three runs (one earned), struck out six, and walked two.

    Aaron Ashby came into the game in the sixth inning and was completely dominant. The rookie left-handed pitcher finished the game. He threw four innings, did not allow any hit or baserunner, and struck out eight.

    The Brewers return home to Milwaukee for a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves.
