Justin Jefferson predicts the Packers’ Week 18 outcome
Justin Jefferson had his lunch eaten by Jaire Alexander in Week 17. The Packers shut him down and blew out the Minnesota Vikings to even their record at 8-8. The Packers are set for a Sunday Night Football matchup against the Detroit Lions. If the Packers win, they make the playoffs. Jefferson knows it.
The Vikings are currently the number three NFC seed heading into Week 18. However, if they beat the Chicago Bears and the San Francisco 49ers lose, the Vikings would claim the number two seed. If the Packers are the seventh seed, they will meet in the wild-card round. Jefferson admitted as much after the game on Sunday.
According to Kevin Seifert with ESPN, Justin Jefferson admitted that Alexander got into his head and made a prediction about seeing the Packers in the playoffs:
“Even from his comments leading into this game, it’s just talk. It’s just trying to give him that booster, that confidence, to go out there and guard me. It is what it is. We are probably going to see this team in the playoffs. So I guess we’ll see then.”
Justin Jefferson said he thought Jaire Alexander should have been flagged for taunting when Alexander hit the griddy after an incompletion in the first quarter. "But it is what it is. He does stuff like that to try get in my head." Full quote: pic.twitter.com/My7WUzR5GO

As a football fan, watching Alexander and Jefferson go at it is must watch television. These teams have shown the contest can tilt either way this season. A third matchup between the Packers and Vikings is something I’m rooting for. Although the second matchup in Minnesota will probably be a lot closer and a bit nerve-racking for Packers fans.
