Jrue Holiday was already honored for his defense this season by making the NBA All-Defensive team. Now, he has earned another award on the season which shows what kind of person Holiday is. He was awarded the Twyman-Stokes NBA Teammate of the Year award for the 2022-23 season.
Milwaukee Bucks guard Jrue Holiday has been named the winner of the 2022-23 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award, the NBA announced today.

Jrue Holiday Wins NBA Teammate Of The Year
The award was created for the 2012-13 season and honors Jack Twyman and Maurice Stokes, former teammates on the Rochester/Cincinnati Royals in the 1950s. Stokes suffered a brain injury in 1958 and Twyman became his legal guardian. NBA executives nominate six players from each conference every year for the award. The winner gets $25,000 donated to a charity of their choosing. This is the third time that Holiday has won the award which is history in itself.

Only Three Time Winner
Holiday has won this award three out of the past four years. Not only is he the only three-time winner, he is the only player to win the award twice. It speaks to how highly people around the league think of Holiday. It is always easy to cheer for the players of your favorite team. It is even easier when those players are good people like Holiday. He seems to be one of the most respected people across the league and is being recognized for it.
This probably won’t be the last time that Jrue Holiday will win the NBA Teammate of the Year award. He still has a couple more years in the league (from what he is saying) and could easily be honored again.
