Former Milwaukee Brewers Jorge Lopez is currently the talk of Major League Baseball. He was ejected during the eighth inning of a 9-3 ball game, tossed his glove into the stands, and then bashed the New York Mets organization afterwards. As a consequence he reportedly will be designated for assignment.
Jorge Lopez was a 2011 MLB draft pick by the Milwaukee Brewers and overlapped with David Stearns.

In 2011 Jorge Lopez was drafted in the second round by the Milwaukee Brewers from Caguas Military Academy. He made his MLB debut in 2015 prior to David Stearns arriving and ended up being traded in 2018 during the Mike Moustakas deal. Since then he has bounced around the league and ultimately re-united with David Stearns in New York this last off-season as he signed a one year, $2.0 million deal.
During the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers game Jorge Lopez was ejected and tossed his glove into the stands afterwards.

During the eighth inning of a 9-3 blowout Jorge Lopez was on the mound. He ended up being ejected by third base umpire Ramon De Jesus. On his way to the dugout he then tossed his glove over the netting and into the crowd.
A bizarre ejection, a bizarre (player) reaction to the ejection, and the commentary on from the SNY Mets crew.

Jorge Lopez bashed the New York Mets organization during his post game media session.

Following Jorge Lopez being ejected and tossing his glove into the stands MLB.com reporter Anthony Dicomo indicated that manager Carlos Mendoza called the action “unacceptable” and, along with president of baseball operations David Stearns, spoke to López about it after the game. During a post game media session Lopez denied meeting with them, didn’t regret his actions, and called the Mets the worst f–king MLB team.
“I think I’ve been on the worst team in probably the whole f–king MLB.”

There initially was some confusion as to what exactly Jorge Lopez said for it was unclear if he was saying that he looked like the worst teammate in the whole MLB or if he was saying the Mets were the worst team in the whole MLB. He was given a chance to clarify and indicated that he meant the Mets are the worst team.
