Jordan Love has been patiently waiting behind Aaron Rodgers for years. This offseason especially, Love did not know if he would be the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers or not. That didn’t stop Love from putting in the work. According to one of Love’s former coaches, he is looking “phenomenal”.

Jordan Love Looks Phenomenal
Steve Calhoun has been coaching Love since the ninth grade. While a lot of the situation was out of Love’s control, what he could control was his preparation. On Monday, March 6, Love went to Calhoun’s base to prepare for the upcoming season. It’s safe to say that Calhoun was impressed.
“He looked phenomenal. That’s a credit to him because the coaching points that Coach LaFleur and the other coaches there in Green Bay are giving him, plus myself, he’s actually working on those things every day,” Calhoun said.
Love came into camp nervous about how he looked but Calhoun was beyond impressed.

Something Changed This Year
Before this year, the Packers were often non-committal when talking about Jordan Love. Now, they are all in. It isn’t just the Packers that are impressed. Other coaches and analysts have come out saying how optimistic they are that Love will be a solid starter in the NFL. We won’t know for a while what Love will look like on the field but the fact that he is taking his preparation seriously should excite Packers fans. It was even reported that he would be working out with some of his teammates to build that rapport.
It is impossible to predict what Love will look like next year. However, he is doing all of the right things to prepare. There is talent around him and hopefully, he will be able to put together a solid season and lead the Packers back to the playoffs.
