“Jordan Love Is Far From Being Elite”: Green Bay Packers Fans Question Jordan Love After Playoff Loss Against the Philadelphia Eagles

This was the second straight season that the Green Bay Packers would be the seventh seed in the NFC playoffs. Jordan Love struggled big time on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles in a 22-10 loss.

The season for the Packers ended with an 11-7 record and also lost the final three games. Love completed 20-of-33 passes for 212 yards and three interceptions. He did not throw a touchdown pass in the game against Philadelphia.

Ever since being the starting quarterback for the Packers last season, there is no doubt that there have been some Love critics. With Love playing horribly again on Sunday, the haters were back to being keyboard warriors. This is what some Packers fans said about Love’s performance against the Eagles:

Jordan Love is far from being an elite quarterback and doesn’t have what it takes to win a Super Bowl. Unfortunately, he was given an inflated contract that now prevents Green Bay from pursuing another QB. What happened today was disheartening—55 million dollars down the drain.

There is no doubt that Love does deserve some criticism for not playing well against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, Christian Watson was out due to injury, and Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed also got injured during the game.  The number one thing Green Bay needs to do this offseason is to get the star quarterback a true number one wide receiver.

There were also injuries on the offensive line during the game for the Packers. Love will get better and learn from this. Green Bay is one of the youngest teams in the NFL.

Malik Willis Won Games This Season

Also, there were times this season when Jordan Love was injured and Malik Willis won some games for the Packers. Love had an injury heading into the Eagles game and many wondered if that injury was affecting him.

Playing Malik Willis instead of Jordan Love would not have mattered against the Eagles. Green Bay was not as good as Philadelphia was this season and that is a bigger story than Jordan Love’s poor performance.
