Jordan Love spoke to the media on Wednesday, representing the Green Bay Packers as their starting quarterback. The 2020 first-round pick has waited a long time for this moment. Love’s first year starting will be a transitional one for the Packers, who lost more than Aaron Rodgers last season. Love addressed the situation he’s inheriting in his press conference.
The Packers have decided to go full steam ahead with a youth movement at skilled offensive positions. The defense shed a few veteran starters in free agency. The Packers, who finished 8-9 last season, would have had difficulty making the playoffs with this roster had Rodgers still been on the team. Now the Packers will be led by a quarterback the franchise believes can ultimately prevail, but they have hedged their bets on him financially and are telling fans publicly they need to temper their expectations for 2023.
Jordan Love addresses challenging Green Bay Packers season.

According to Bill Huber with Sports Illustrated, Love said he understood that his first year starting would have plenty of challenges. He preferred to take a stoic outlook on the season and said it wasn’t going to be as good or bad as many in Green Bay think. Love indicated his teammates would help the Packers get through the ups and downs of 2023:
“I know it’s not going to be easy this year,” Love said.
"I know it's not going to be easy this year," Love says, but he has confidence in himself. It's never as bad/as good as you think. There will be ups and downs. Stay together. A tight bond will help him and the team face the challenges that are coming.

Love got to see how Rodgers weathered the ups and downs of 2022. Last season was one major roller coaster ride through Week 18. But Love seems to have a different and calm confidence about himself compared to Rodgers. It was clear to anyone who watched him enter the Philadelphia Eagles game last season. Love performed well in a high-pressure situation. We’ll see how he handles 18 more of them this season.
