Would the Packers Be Interested in Joe Tippmann?
Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst is known for drafting incredible athletes. In this case, Joe Tippmann would certainly be a player that Gutekunst and his front office staff will be interested in. Tippmann recently was ranked 28th on Bruce Feldman’s (The Athletic) Freaks List.
The Packers have a core of young and talented interior offensive linemen already. Elgton Jenkins just signed a massive extension. Josh Myers is once again playing well as center and is still on his rookie contract. Jon Runyan Jr. has also played well at right guard.
That being said, the injuries that the Packers have suffered on the offensive line over the past two seasons have proven that they cannot have too many quality linemen. Additionally, Tippmann’s positional flexibility is something that Gutekunst and the Packers look for when drafting offensive linemen.
In short, yes: Joe Tippmann will likely be on the Packers big board during the NFL Draft. Whether or not he will be taken by them, of course, remains to be seen.
