The Milwaukee Bucks did not make many moves this offseason. Resigning Bobby Portis was huge but overall, they liked their team and kept them together. The one signing they did make was Joe Ingles. His shooting and playmaking would help raise the floor of the Bucks’ offense. In the first part of the season, he was recovering from an ACL injury and this is just his 6th game back. Last night, the Bucks got the victory over the Timberwolves and Joe Ingles was a big part of it.

Joe Ingles Posts First Double-Double With Bucks
Everyone will be talking about Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s second straight 40-20 game and for good reason. While that historic performance deserves to be talked about, don’t let it overshadow Joe Ingles’ performance. He had 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists which was huge for a Bucks team missing Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday. In Giannis’ last 40-20 game, the rest of the offense fell flat and it ended in a loss. Tonight, the scoring and playmaking of Joe Ingles made a huge difference.
Sign Of Things To Come?
Coming back from an ACL injury is tough. Even after the player is cleared to play, it often takes him a little time to feel comfortable on the court. Joe Ingles has not had very impressive stat lines in his previous five games. He has only scored in double digits once and never dished out more than three assists. The Bucks are hoping that last night’s stat line is a sign of things to come. If Ingles can consistently put up double-doubles it will help the offense drastically.
It was great to see Joe Ingles have a mini-breakout game last night. The Bucks definitely need more help on offense. They definitely need all of their players back on the court but they also need players like Joe Ingles to show up on a consistent basis.
