The Green Bay Packers worked out two running backs on Monday. The workouts came a day after the Packers had to rule out Aaron Jones with a hamstring injury.
Jones’ absence was noticeable for the Packers’ offense. The Packers ran for just 84 yards as a team against the Falcons. One wouldn’t think Jones would miss many more games since the Packers did not place him on injured reserve before the game.
But the team is looking to add depth.

According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Packers worked out Jerrion Ealy and Ellis Merriweather.

Ealy is a UDFA who won a Super Bowl as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs last season. He spent most of the season in the practice squad. The Chiefs released Ealy in August.
Merriweather is a UDFA from UMass who initially signed with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints released Merriweather in August.
Neither player has been signed as of this publishing. But it’s obvious the Packers are looking to better the position after the offense’s display in Week 2.
