It seemed like a long time coming, but the Milwaukee Bucks have finally acquired Power Forward Jae Crowder. The trade came less than 24 hours after Phoenix sent Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Jae Crowder to Brooklyn in a deal for Kevin Durant. Adrian Wojnarowski previously reported that the Brooklyn Nets “are expected to explore trade scenarios for Jae Crowder” ahead of the imminent NBA trade deadline. It would appear the Milwaukee Bucks were the right suitors. The Bucks sent five second-round picks to the Brooklyn Nets to acquire Jae Crowder. When Jae Crowder found this out he took to social media to react.
Jae Crowder Reacts To Being Traded To The Milwaukee Bucks
CUT OFF MY FINGER TO SAVE MY HAND… 99 BACK AGAIN.!! 😈😈😈😈🫡
— JAE CROWDER (@CJC9BOSS) February 9, 2023
Jae Crowder being traded to Milwaukee is a bit of a homecoming. Crowder played college basketball at Marquette University where he averaged 14.6 points per game and was shooting 49.2% from the field and 35% from three. His best season was the 2011-2012 season. That year, his sophomore season, Crowder averaged 17.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 1.0 blocks, and 2.1 assists per game.
In the trade, the Bucks are getting the definition of a 3-and-D forward. Crowder defends at a high level and is known for being a very physical defender. He can also knock down the three-point shot consistently, which is always a plus for a team like the Bucks. At 32 years of age, Crowder also brings with him a load of playoff experience. With Milwaukee looking to get back to and win another NBA Finals, adding veterans like this will make a significant impact.
While Crowder hasn’t played a game yet this season, he has reportedly been working out in Atlanta to stay ready. Clearly he is ready to get back on the court and help the Milwaukee Bucks with another Championship run. Crowder saw first hand when the Bucks won the NBA Championship in 2021 when his Suns team lost to the Bucks in six games. This time Crowder is ready to be on the winning side of the NBA Finals.
