Wisconsin Badgers starting quarterback Jack Coan has suffered a foot injury. Reports indicate Coan is out indefinitely. The severity of the injury is unknown. This is according to Wisconsin football reporter Jeff Potrykus.
Talked two a pair of sources — one late yesterday and the second early this AM: #Badgers QB Jack Coan suffered a foot injury at practice and is out indefinitely. Not sure of severity. https://t.co/SMUm8uftYQ

As a result, if the senior quarterback is out for an extended period of time, redshirt freshman Graham Mertz would be the favorite to start. The other quarterbacks would be Chase Wolf and Danny Vanden Boom.
If Coan does miss time, it’s a huge blow to the offense. Coan has started 18 games in his career and has appeared in 25 games. He is the only quarterback on the roster with starting experience.
