Inter Milan Player Finds Comfort in Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Amazing Wisdom to Cope Up with 2025 Champions League Loss

Giannis Antetokounmpo has won almost everything in basketball but he has failed a lot, too, especially in the last three seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Some would see these seasons as failure but the Greek Freak instantly flips the narrative with his amazing way of putting things into perspective.

“There’s always steps to it,” Antetokounmpo said back in 2023 after they were booted out by the 8th seed Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

“Michael Jordan played 15 years, won six championships; the other nine years was a failure? That’s what you’re telling me?

“There’s no failure in sports. You know, there’s good days, bad days. Some days you are able to be successful, some days you’re not. Some days it’s your turn, some days it’s not your turn. And that’s what sports is about.”

This quote became the anthem of many people whether in sports or other fields.

Soccer’s Inter Milan had a chance to win a treble back in May but they came up short in all of it by just one win.

It was indeed a painful 2024-25 season for their fans and players but their striker is not dwelling on it after hearing about the wisdom the Milwaukee Bucks star shared two years ago.

“Remember, Giannis did the interview, saying Jordan didn’t fail when he wasn’t winning the chip at the end,” he said in an interview with The Athletic.

“I think it’s the right way to see sport because there’s the journey, too. There’s the result, of course. We’re all competitive. We all want to win in the end. But there’s the journey that brings us to the final.”

Inter Milan are now preparing for the new season and Thuram are hoping to get back to contention through the transfer market.

As for the Bucks, Giannis and co are hoping to run it back with almost the same squad after re-signing the core to new deals.
