Former Wisconsin Badgers volleyball players CC Crawford and Sydney Hilley are currently teammates for the Indy Ignite. This is the organization’s inaugural season in the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF). Last week, in front of a sold out home crowd, the Ignite won their first ever match. On Thursday, Jan 16 they advanced to 2-0 with basketball star Caitlin Clark in attendance.
The Indy Ignite advanced to 2-0 with a sweep over the Grand Rapids Rise

The Ignite advanced to 2-0 on the season and have now won six consecutive sets as they took down the Grand Rapids Rise on Thursday by scores of 25-18, 28-26, 25-16. Leketor Member-Meneh, the reigning PVF Player of the Week, had 17 kills, but Nina Cajic added 16 herself and Tealer Azhani 10.
Former Wisconsin Badgers volleyball players CC Crawford and Sydney Hilley also shined in the Ignite’s second consecutive victory

Middle blocker CC Crawford finished the game with two kills, two aces, and a block. Following the victory Crawford said, “We wanted to come out strong. I feel like we did that behind the service line and based on our defense and how gritty we were.” Setter Sydney Hilley finished the game with 44 assists, three kills, and one block.

Caitlin Clark was in attendance

Sitting front row was WNBA star Caitlin Clark. She plays for the Indiana Fever and came out to support the city’s professional volleyball team that is making some noise early on in their first season.
