How strikeouts impacted the Milwaukee Brewers’ 2022 season

Strikeouts were a big part of the Milwaukee Brewers games in 2022. The pitching staff had the third-most strikeouts in the majors last season with 1,530, behind the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets.

But strikeouts by the Brewers’ batters were also a key factor last season; the Brewers batters had 1,464 strikeouts, fourth-most in baseball, behind the Angels, Braves and Pirates.

Consider this: As a Brewers fan, you saw just under 3,000 strikeouts last season between the Brewers pitching staff and the team’s batters. That is about 18.5 strikeouts per game.
