The Houston Rockets will no doubt be looking to take a massive swing during the NBA offseason for a superstar. One name that they could very well be interested in trading for is Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Antetokounmpo will have a few more years remaining on his contract. Houston will also potentially explore a deal with the Phoenix Suns for either Kevin Durant or Devin Booker as well. The Rockets will need to find a way to get to another level after losing to the Golden State Warriors in the first-round of the NBA playoffs. There is a chance that Milwaukee will look to start a rebuild this offseason.
NBA Insider Talks About a Potential Blockbuster Trade Between the Houston Rockets and Giannis Antetokounmpo

Bleacher report writer Greg Swartz talked about a potential blockbuster trade that would send Antetokounmpo from Milwaukee to Houston. The Bucks in return from the Rockets would get Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr., Cam Whitmore, Aaron Holiday, 2025 first-round pick (via Phoenix Suns), and 2027 first-round pick (via Phoenix Suns). The 2025 first-round pick would be in the lottery for this season and that would be a great start to jump start the rebuild for Milwaukee along with acquiring other young players from Houston.
The Rockets would be able to form its big three with Amen Thompson, Alperen Sengun, and Antetokounmpo. Swartz said,
“The sad reality is that an Antetokounmpo trade needs to happen now to maximize his value, as the 30-year-old still has two guaranteed years remaining on his contract. This is a chance for Milwaukee to get a haul of draft picks and young players, including a really good selection in the 2025 draft.”
The Bucks would be able to land a good player in the 2025 NBA Draft. Houston would have the most to offer for an Antetokounmpo trade. The Rockets are looking to become a legit title contender in the Western Conference, and they would have to part ways with some young talent as well in order to get to the next level also.
