Well, there were two forms of entertainment in last night’s 12-1 loss against the Detroit Tigers. Those being Christian Yelich’s booming home run, and Orlando Arcia’s pitching debut. Yeah, pitching debut. If any team needs an eephus specialist, Arcia is the guy. For reference, he threw three pitches between 54-56 mph. Anyways, Adrian Houser looks to halt the Tigers’ six-game winning streak in tonight’s matchup against right-hander Spencer Turnbull.
What needs to happen for Houser?
The Brewers’ righty simply needs to give up fewer runs. In 33 innings pitched, Houser has given up 16 earned runs and has a WHIP floating around 1.4. His once low ERA is now 4.36, but it could be much worse. In his last four starts, Houser has given up five home runs. Fans know what he’s capable of, but he has mechanical issues to figure out as of late. His inability to shy away from the sinker-slider approach has hurt him statistically.
Tigers’ Expectations vs. Houser
The Tigers look to win their seventh straight game tonight, but how can Houser stop that? Baseball isn’t an easy game to predict, but here is what Adrian Houser is capable of.

He knows how to locate pitches, and he knows how to throw a gem here and there. Let’s see a quality start from the Brewers’ righty tonight!
