The Milwaukee Brewers are not actively shopping four-time All-Star Josh Hader. That does not mean that they are not listening to offers, though. According to Jon Heyman, the Brewers are taking calls with offers for Hader, who will hit free agency at the end of last season.
Teams have been calling on Josh Hader. No indication he’s particularly available but Brewers usually seem willing to listen, in case. Hadn’t given up an earned run in the regular season in 11 months but has 12.54 ERA this month.

Of course, this is true of many star players around Major League Baseball. The Los Angeles Angels are taking calls to “listen” to offers for Shohei Ohtani. That does not mean they are actively shopping him.

Will the Brewers Trade Josh Hader?
At this point, it does not seem to be very likely that Josh Hader will be traded this season. Hader, as many know, will be a free agent at the end of the 2023 season. It has widely been assumed that the Brewers will not be able to afford Hader once he hits free agency. Teams have called about him in previous seasons, but have come away with reports that the Brewers’ asking price was astronomically high. That being said, as Hader draws closer and closer to free agency, his value falls more and more. The Brewers will trade him for the right price this season, but will likely need to be blown away by any trade offer in order to do so. However, if they do try to trade him in the offseason or next season, they will not get nearly the kind of return they could get now.
