The trade chatter around Giannis Antetokounmpo keeps picking up, and a familiar team is already preparing a strong push for the Greek Freak. According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Miami Heat won’t sit near the front of the line unless they’re willing to part with Kel’el Ware. In the right framework with Milwaukee, though, the Heat are reportedly ready to include Andrew Wiggins to keep themselves in the conversation.
Fischer noted that Tyler Herro might be a central piece in a trade package the Heat could put together to acquire Antetokounmpo, particularly after the guard was unable to finalize a max extension last month.

Wiggins earns 28.2 million and Herro makes 31 million in the final year of their current deals. Their combined contracts easily line up with Antetokounmpo’s 54.1 million salary, and the two time MVP remains under contract for two additional seasons after this one.
Even so, the Bucks would likely require additional future assets and draft picks to part ways with Antetokounmpo, which puts Kel’el Ware in the spotlight as a key piece given the Heat’s reported interest in pursuing the superstar.
Wiggins is putting up 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. Meanwhile, Herro missed the start of the 2025-26 season following offseason ankle surgery but has averaged 23.8 points across five games before a recent toe injury sidelined him for Miami.
Back in 2020, Miami was among the frontrunners showing serious interest in Antetokounmpo, but the Bucks star ultimately stayed in Milwaukee by signing a supermax extension. Five years later, the league watches closely to see if the Heat can finally pull off a blockbuster deal for the Bucks superstar.
