Gregg Berhalter faced a to of criticism Saturday
The USMNT played the Netherlands in the round of 16 at the World Cup Saturday morning. The team lost a hard-fought match 3-1. But the team’s strategy left much to be desired. USMNT manager Gregg Berhalter has faced heavy backlash recently for his decisions surrounding the World Cup. Packers fans compared his soccer defense to one in Green Bay this season in the sport of football.
Berhalter has gone with a more conservative approach in the World Cup. He slowed down the offense in matches against Wales and Iran in the second half. Better forwards like Ricardo Pepi were left off the final roster. Gio Reyna considered one of the best forwards on the team, was used sparingly on a team that scored three goals in four of their four matches in the World Cup. USMNT fans have vented their frustrations with the lineup and strategy on Twitter.

It would go better for the US if Gregg Berhalter played one of his better players, like Aaronson or Reyna, instead of insisting on playing a “striker” like Ferreira with less quality.

I need to know where Gregg Berhalter was on Jan 6, because this white man is extremely conservative.

Packers fans compare Berhalter’s defense to the USMNT
If you’re a USMNT fan and a Packers fan, you’re likely to draw the dots on being frustrated with conservative play. Fans have been irritated with defensive coordinator Joe Barry’s conservative approach to defense. Packers fans tweeted about the similarities between the USMNT’s defense and the Packers.

As an @packers fan, I am used to terrible defense. #FIFAWorldCup #USMNT

So if Joe Barry is coordinating the USMNT's defense, does that mean he's not with the Packers anymore?
