The Green Bay Packers will need to overhaul some positions this offseason. During the 2024 NFL offseason, Green Bay wanted to overhaul the running back position and they did.
The Packers decided to release Aaron Jones last offseason and sign Josh Jacobs. They also drafted Marshawn Lloyd last offseason. This offseason, another position on the roster that has a chance to potentially be overhauled is the cornerback position.
Green Bay Packers Select Cornerback Zy Alexander From the LSU Tigers In the Third Round Of the Latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft
There is no question that the Packers will need to draft a couple of cornerbacks in the 2025 NFL Mock Draft, especially in the early rounds. The Green Bay Packers will have the 87th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Pro Football Network has Green Bay selecting cornerback Zy Alexander from the LSU Tigers. They said:
“Sometimes there is a perfect player-team fit in the mid rounds that you can’t take your eyes off of, and Alexander to the Packers to create and Alexander-squared cornerback duo feels perfect even without the name symmetry.”
Zy Alexander this past season with LSU had 33 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, and three pass deflections. Alexander is 6’2″ and weighs 194 lbs. Also, there is a chance that Jaire Alexander will not be on the Green Bay Packers roster next season.
Packers Cornerback Overhaul
If the Green Bay Packers do draft two cornerbacks in the first three rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, then it means that they are not bringing back Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes next season. It also could mean that Keisean Nixon may not be back next year as well.
Zy Alexander could be someone to keep an eye on for the third round of the NFL Draft. There will be a lot of time that the Green Bay Packers will spend this offseason scouting cornerbacks for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
