The Green Bay Packers, within a two week span, have thrust themselves into the NFC playoff conversation. Back to back wins have put the Packers comfortable in the eighth seed in the NFC. The Packers (5-6) sit just behind the Seattle Seahawks (6-5) and Minnesota Vikings (6-5).
As the Packers’ offense starts to come together, it is likely the front office will continue to build for the future. One of those pieces could very well include a 25-year-old running back that could potentially replace Aaron Jones.
The Green Bay Packers Could Pursue Running Back Zack Moss In 2024 If They Prove To Be A Playoff Team

The NFL Staff at Bleacher Report suggested on Monday that the Packers should pursue Moss next season:
With A.J. Dillon being an impending free agent this offseason, Green Bay is expected to be looking for a ‘between the tackles’ type of running back this offseason. While at least part of the fanbase was hoping the team would be able to nab Jonathan Taylor, Taylor ended up signing a contract extension. So, how about settling for the Colts’ other running back?
While Taylor was on the PUP list to begin the campaign, Moss started the season hot with a couple of triple-digit rushing performances in the team’s first four games. He’s cooled off since Taylor returned to action, but the Utah product has already set career highs with 617 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns through Week 10.
Would The Packers Move On From Aaron Jones?

As far as Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones is concerned, there are few players who have endeared themselves as much to fans as Jones has. In addition to ranking third on the franchise’s all-time rushing list, Jones uses his platform to make a difference in the community. Jones took a $5 million pay cut to stay with the Packers and help them re-sign other players this offseason, as if he couldn’t be more beloved by Packers fans.
That being said, the star running back has suffered a multitude of fairly significant injuries this season. It started with his lingering hamstring injury, and now, he is dealing with his MCL injury that could last a few weeks. Those two injuries coupled with his $17 million cap hit next season may make it difficult to keep him around this off-season. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the two sides come to an agreement on a restructured contract, however, it also wouldn’t be surprising to see the two sides agree to move on.
It will certainly be one of the biggest decisions the Packers have to make this coming off-season.
