CBS Sports Has the Green Bay Packers Selecting Ole Miss Rebels Defensive Lineman Walter Nolen In the 2025 NFL Draft

CBS Sports writer Mike Renner created his latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft. With the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Renner has the Green Bay Packers selecting defensive lineman Walter Nolen from the Ole Miss Rebels. There is no doubt that the Packers need help on the defensive line, but a lot of other mock drafts have them drafting cornerbacks in the first round.
Renner said about drafting Nolen:
“The Packers love twitched-up defensive linemen and Nolen fits that mold. He’s got the body type and first step to be a game-changing three-technique in the NFL.”
Walter Nolen is 6’3″ and weighs 305 lbs. Last season with the Ole Miss Rebels, he recorded 48 tackles, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two pass deflections. The Green Bay Packers need some more disruptive players on the defensive line.
Need More Help Up Front

One thing that the Packers lacked last season was a pass rush. Rashan Gary led the team with 7.5 sacks. Kenny Clark took a step back after receiving his contract extension. The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl this year against the Kansas City Chiefs because of how much the pass rush disrupted Patrick Mahomes.
Green Bay will look to get better in the trenches. This could be a reason why they will draft Walter Nolen from the Ole Miss Rebels in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
