The Green Bay Packers are going through the course of OTAs before the mandatory mini-camp next month. Training camp will start in July in preparation for the 2024 NFL season. The last time the Green Bay Packers did an unthinkable trade was back in the offseason of 2022 when they traded wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Star wide receivers are important to have on your football team. Green Bay has four very good wide receivers on the roster Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks. The good news for this franchise is that they are all currently on rookie deals and they will not need to sign them to a contract extension anytime soon.

However, when the time comes to pay them, general manager Brian Gutekunst must decide which wide receivers to keep and which ones he should get rid of. The most important decision right now for the Packers is to sign quarterback Jordan Love to a contract extension before the 2024 season begins.
Green Bay Packers Rival Minnesota Vikings Encouraged To Trade Wide Receiver Justin Jefferson To the Los Angeles Chargers

The Vikings attempted on draft day to trade up with the Los Angeles Chargers for the fifth overall pick. Minnesota would have selected wide receiver Malik Nabers from LSU fifth overall. Had that been the case, Justin Jefferson would have been on the move to a different NFL team.

Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report thinks that the Los Angeles Chargers should make a trade with the Minnesota Vikings for Jefferson. In the mock trade, Los Angeles would receive Justin Jefferson. In return, the Minnesota Vikings would receive a 2025 first-round pick, a 2026 second-round pick, and wide receiver Quentin Johnson.
The reasoning Ballentine gave as to why the Chargers would trade for the Green Bay Packers rival star wide receiver is as follows:
“No receiver room took as much of a hit this offseason as the Los Angeles Chargers. The receiving options used to be a strength for the Bolts, but with Mike Williams getting released and Keenan Allen traded to the Chicago Bears, they are all of a sudden a young, unproven group.
Some of that is by design. Jim Harbaugh is known for installing an old-school offense that focuses on being the most physical team and running the football.
Still, that doesn’t negate the need for receivers who can beat coverage and get open. Even in his final season as a head coach with the Niners back in 2014 he had two wideouts with more than 100 targets in Anquan Boldin and Michael Crabtree.”
The Los Angeles Chargers would need to give Justin Jefferson a new contract extension. Minnesota has yet to give him a contract extension. If the Vikings were to trade him out of the conference, the Green Bay Packers fanbase and other fanbases would be laughing everywhere.
