There is a reason why fantasy football managers are racing to get Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft from the waiver wire. After an incredible performance in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams – and over the last two weeks, to be more precise – Kraft has become among the most popular players to add.
In the Packers’ 24-19 victory on the road over the Rams last Sunday, Kraft recorded 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns on four catches and five targets. Nearly all of those yards came on just one play – a booming 66-yard touchdown in the third quarter, which came after a fumble by Los Angeles running back Kyren Williams.

Kraft did more than just score a touchdown during that possession. He also pulled off a feat last seen in 2012, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
Eye-popping stat: Tucker Kraft’s 66-yard catch-and-run touchdown was the longest by any NFL tight end this season, and the longest score by a Packers tight end since Tom Crabtree’s 72-yarder in 2012, per ESPN Research. Kraft reached a top speed of 19.7 mph, the highest top speed for a tight end on a scoring play this season, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.
Kraft is now looking like a valuable weapon downfield for Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love, who had 224 passing yards and two touchdowns (both to Kraft) with an interception on 15-of-26 pass completions versus the Rams. One can imagine the oozing confidence Kraft has going into the Packers’ next game, which is against the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field this coming Sunday.

After only five games in 2024, Kraft has already surpassed his touchdown total in 2023 (2) and is close to having more receiving yards than last season (355). So far in the 2024 campaign, Kraft has 218 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 16 receptions.
