The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers have been at the center of all off-season talk currently. The moment the Green Bay Packers season ended on January 8th, speculations began on what Rodgers’ future would look like. As we sit on March 15th, we still don’t know what the future hold, however, we have a much better idea. Recently Trey Wingo reported that the trade to send Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets was a “done deal.” So far he is the only credible person to report this. He was asked about that Tweet on social media, this is what he had to say.
Trey Wingo Doubles Down On Trade Tweet

Here is Trey Wingo’s Tweet on March 13th regarding the Green Bay Packers sending Aaron Rodgers to New York:
Hearing Rodgers to the Jets is done. History about to repeat itself between New York and Green Bay. Time is indeed a flat circle

After his tweet, there was a lot of skepticism about it being actually true or not. The very next day Trey Wingo appeared on a podcast to explain the reasoning behind his report:
“The tweet that I put out there is going to happen,” Wingo said in an interview with Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. “It’s just a matter of when. And when I say it may drag into next week, you need to be prepared for that because it may go into next week. The holdup isn’t really Aaron,” Wingo said. “It isn’t Aaron. [He’s] ready to roll.”
From the Packers’ side, how do we want to thank him for all these years? They want to do it right and all this kind of stuff and I’m sure the Jets want to make sure to get it right. So when the narrative is disrupted or the timeline of their narrative is disrupted, much in the same way it was for Tom Brady’s pseudo retirement last year, when Jeff Darlington and Adam Schefter broke the news that Tom was walking away, suddenly people are [like] ‘oh holy hell, let’s move things. We got to do some stuff.’ That might be part of it.
You might have to wait a little bit longer, but play the long game,” Wingo said. “Aaron Rodgers is going to be the quarterback of the New York Jets in 2023.
