As the Green Bay Packers prepare for today’s matchup against the Washington Commanders, they will be without 2022 second-round pick Christian Watson and veteran Randal Cobb. The fan-favorite Cobb is reported to miss 5-7 weeks. Sammy Watkins is returning from the IR, but fans are calling for the Packers to make a move to acquire another Wide Receiver before the November 1st NFL trade deadline. One fan favorite who will not be traded in 2022 is DJ Moore per Adam Schefter. Here are four trade targets the Green Bay Packers should explore a trade for before the November 1st deadline.
Carolina rejected an offer of two 1st-round picks for DE Brian Burns, per sources.
Carolina now has no intention of trading Burns, Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn and DJ Moore before next Tuesday’s trade deadline.https://t.co/TcYZsX7nUn

Four Green Bay Packers Trade Targets
Chase Claypool
The 24-year-old wideout is in his third and likely final season with the Pittsburg Steelers. Claypool would provide the Green Bay Offense an instant upgrade replacing Romeo Dubbs or Sammy Watkins. The Steelers are 2-4 in a division with the Bengals, Browns, and Ravens, and have young depth at receiver. Claypool is competing with reps with Rookie George Pickens and Diontae Johnson, making him a likely trade candidate for a team in a rebuilding year.

There’s a lot to like about Claypool. The Notre Dame product has a knack for finding his way in the end zone. In his rookie campaign, he scored eleven touchdowns with Ben Roethlisberger as the quarterback. Next to Allen Lazard with Aaron Rodgers, Claypool could easily duplicate those numbers in Green Bay. He is under contract until 2024 and would likely have a team-friendly price compared to DJ Moore. He’s yet to post all-pro numbers, but that could change with consistency at quarterback. In his first two seasons and four different Quarterbacks, Claypool has averaged just over 60 receptions per year.
Kendrick Bourne
Armando Salguero of Out Kick the Coverage is reporting Kendrick Bourne is available for the right price.
Patriots receiver Kendrick Bourne is similarly available for the right price. He’s been inconsistent in practice and around the building in Foxborough and that has gotten him into some trouble with New England coaches, particularly offensive play-caller Matt Patricia.
– Salguero
The 27-year-old wideout is in his sixth season in the NFL, having played four seasons in San Franciso and two in New England. Last year with the Patriots, he tallied an eight-hundred-yard campaign with 55 receptions. Bourne’s in the second year of a fifteen-million-dollar deal he signed with New England in 2021. The undrafted Eastern Michigan product is no longer in the starting rotation with the Patriots due to the emergence of Jakobi Myers and the off-season signing of DeVante Parker. He’s a no-brainer starter over Sammy Watkins or Romeo Doubs and wouldn’t cost the Pack a high draft pick.
Jerry Jeudy
Speedster Jerry Jeudy is one player who has never lived up to their NFL potential and could benefit from a hall-of-fame arm throwing his way. With Russell Wilson battling a hamstring injury and the Broncos sitting at 2-4 behind the Chargers and Chiefs, Jeudy is likely available. Jeudy is a former 1st round pick out of Alabama who registered 52 catches in his rookie campaign. In 2021, he disappointed fans by totaling only 38 receptions for 467 yards. Ian Rapport is reporting Jeudy, along with Brandin Cooks, are the two most likely receivers to be traded.
Big-name WRs generating trade interest:
— #Texans WR Brandin Cooks has been the target of multiple calls.
— #Steelers WR Chase Claypool has been in focus, but is not expected to be deal, barring a shift.
— Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy has been the center of calls, as DEN sputtered.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 23, 2022
Brandin Cooks
Coming off a 90-reception campaign in 2021 for 1037 yards, Cooks would supply Rodgers with an instantaneous offensive weapon. The most tenured player on the list, Cooks, is perhaps the most established threat, having found success everywhere he has played. He’d likely cost Green Bay a substantial haul of draft picks and will have a base salary of eighteen million in 2023. Yet, Cooks would be a legitimate weapon for Rodgers to rely upon.
