The Green Bay Packers could be in the market for a veteran wide receiver this off-season. If Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard both leave the team in free agency, the Packers could look to bring in a new veteran wide receiver. As it turns out, there may be two veteran wide receivers on the trade market. The asking price for DeAndre Hopkins and Brandin Cooks has been widely talked about at the NFL Combine, and it was just made public.
DeAndre Hopkins’ Trade Price
According to Chad Graff: The talk around the combine about trade compensation is a second-round pick for DeAndre Hopkins. According to Spotrac, whoever trades for Hopkins would be absorbing cap hits of $19.45 million and $14.915 million over the next two seasons. T
hose numbers for a player of his caliber are more than manageable. He will turn 31 this summer, but when he’s on the field, you’re still looking at a top-10 receiver in football. In just nine games in 2022, Hopkins accumulated 64 receptions, 717 yards, and three touchdowns. Getting a healthy DeAndre Hopkins for a second round pick could prove to be massive for the Green Bay Packers.
Brandin Cooks’ Trade Price

According to Chad Graff: The talk around the combine about trade compensation is a third-round pick for Brandin Cooks. The Green Bay Packers once were heavily rumored to be interested in trading for Texans’ wide receiver Brandin Cooks. Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs are certainly the future of the wide receiver position for Green Bay Packers. Their talents were on full display in 2022. However, a proven veteran would go a long ways for this offense.
Cooks will turn 30 years old in September and is on a different timeline than the rebuilding Texans. Cooks’ career includes six seasons with more than 1,000 receiving yards. This includes as recently as 2021 when he was on the Texans. Cooks posted 57 catches for 699 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games last season.
