The Green Bay Packers are heading into the 2023 season with a completely new offense. The pending Aaron Rodgers trade is a turning point for what this team will look like going forward. That being said, there is a lot of optimism surrounding what Jordan Love can do in this league. The Green Bay Packers have a number of weapons for Jordan Love already in Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Aaron Jones, and AJ Dillon. Still, they could benefit from adding a few more, and as it turns out, one took a visit to Green Bay recently.
Green Bay Packers Hosted Tight End Dalton Kincaid

#Utah TE Dalton Kincaid is visiting the #Packers today, source tells @theScore.
Green Bay picks 15. Kincaid – a 1st-Team All Pac-12 performer – is a projected 1st-round pick as well.

According to Matthew Brown:
Green Bay Packers Hosting Dalton Kincaid
Kincaid is one of the most athletic tight ends in the class. He is a fluid route runner who can create mismatches against linebackers who may not be as good in coverage. Kincaid has great hands and can catch the contested 50/50 balls. He does lack elite blocking skills but he is not a zero when asked to block. Most scouts agree that he may need a little bit of work but should blossom into a solid player for any team. This is one of many tight ends that the Packers have been doing their homework on.
What Direction Will They Go?
Likely, the Packers will have their choice of tight end at pick number 15. This does not mean they will necessarily pick a tight end there as the class is deep and mid-round value is there. Sam LaPorta and Zack Kuntz are two names that might be available in later rounds and have a high upside. The team could also trade back and still have their choice of Kincaid or Michael Mayer. It would not shock me if the Packers double-dipped and took two prospects hoping to hit on at least one.
Kincaid had extremely successful years in 2021 and 2022. During those two years he recorded 106 receptions, 1,400 receiving yards, and 16 touchdowns. An effective pass catching tight end would be something the Green Bay Packers haven’t had consistently for years. The Green Bay Packers haven’t had a long-term answer at the tight end position for nearly a decade. Taking a chance on a tight end first round could be the answer, when Packers fans heard this news, they took to social media to share their thoughts:
