The Green Bay Packers must bolster their wide receiver depth to improve their passing game and give themselves a better chance of making a deep playoff run next season.
Fans have floated the idea of bringing back Davante Adams to Green Bay, where he played from 2014 to 2021 before going to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022. But, according to the New York Jets star, the Green Bay Packers may be targeting a different receiver.
“I heard they’ve been looking into Tee Higgins. It’s not a bad move. Tee is more than deserving. He is, in my mind, easily a No. 1. He could go to any team and be a No. 1,” Adams said on the Up & Adams show recently.
Tee Higgins will have a lot of suitors when he hits free agency in the next few weeks. Besides the Green Bay Packers, it was reported that the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers are also interested in getting the 25-year-old wideout.
ESPN analyst drops bold offseason prediction on the Green Bay Packers
After the Wild Card Round loss against the Philadelphia Eagles where they struggled in the passing game, it’s clear that the Green Bay Packers need to get a bona fide WR1 for quarterback Jordan Love.
ESPN’s Ben Solak seems on board with Green Bay gunning for Higgins. However, such a deal would see them parting ways with Romeo Doubs.
“Expect them to be in the Tee Higgins hunt, but if getting him gets too expensive for them, they could package someone like Romeo Doubs — who will be in the final year of his rookie deal in 2025 — to grab a frustrated star from another team. Garrett Wilson? DK Metcalf? I’d bet on the latter,” Solak wrote.
