The Green Bay Packers, at one point in the 2019 season, had the top two tackles in the game. One is still on the team, David Bakhtiari but the other player has been plagued with injuries. Billy Turner was one of the top starters in the game but then the injuries hit. His knee trouble began in 2021 and continued into 2022 when he was limited to eight games with the Denver Broncos. Now, Turner is saying he is “back to 100 percent” and ready to contribute to a team.
Green Bay Packers Tackle Billy Turner Wants To Make A Return
Turner is feeling healthy something he has not felt in the past two years. At only 31 years old, he still feels that he has a lot to give to a team. With offensive line depth being something that every team covets, Turner should have no trouble finding a spot on a team despite the injury history. He claims the injuries were “kind of freak accidents” and his history doesn’t guarantee more injuries down the road.

A Reunion In Green Bay?
Could the Packers look to bring Turner back to Green Bay? I would say it is rather unlikely. The team is trying to get younger, not older. They drafted Zach Tom last year and reports indicate they are looking at taking a tackle in the upcoming draft. It would be really cool to reunite Turner with Bakhtiari as a little bit of a throwback but that would be it. Ultimately, I expect an offensive line-needy team to take a flyer on Turner hoping he can stay healthy for an entire season.
Billy Turner was a great lineman for the Green Bay Packers at one point but I expect him to find work elsewhere. With how expensive linemen are sometimes, Turner could get himself a decent deal if the right team comes along.
