The Green Bay Packers aren’t afraid to move on from someone if they aren’t confident in their future. That has been evident both with veterans and players on first-term contracts.
One former starter has been finding success elsewhere, however, and he took to social media to talk about it.

There is a football dynasty in Birmingham.
In Sunday’s UFL Championship game, the Birmingham Stallions defeated the San Antonio Brahmas 25-0.
Having won the USFL in 2022 and 2023 before the league merged with the XFL this season, the Stallions have now won three consecutive spring football championships. “The King of Spring” Skip Holtz has led Birmingham to three championships in three years: in 2022, 2023 and 2024 with three different starting quarterbacks: J’Mar Smith, Alex McGough, and Adrian Martinez.
In addition to being named the UFL MVP, Martinez was also named the UFL Championship MVP.
Jace Sternberger Had A Great Season With The Stallions
Early June marked the end of the inaugural regular season of the United Football League. Three former Green Bay Packers were named to the league’s first-ever “All-UFL” team.
Sternberger was an All-USFL player last year. This year, he led the Birmingham Stallions, the number one seed in the USFL Conference playoffs, in receiving yards. It’s likely that the former Packers third-round pick will get another chance at the NFL level since he’s just 27.
Before joining the Stallions, Sternberger played three years with the Seattle Seahawks, Washington Football Team, and Pittsburgh Steelers. His 2023 season was successful enough to land him a contract with the Buffalo Bills, but he was released during cutdowns last summer.
