The Green Bay Packers will begin mandatory minicamp next week and there are a lot of questions that they still have to answer before then and also training camp. The biggest question that they will have to answer is when will they give quarterback Jordan Love a contract extension.
It can not linger into training camp and also into Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season. For now, Love is not holding out but you never know when he could potentially hold out. Green Bay has a ton of potential on the offensive side of the football this season and they will look to be better on defense.

Another major question for the Green Bay Packers will be the offensive line on offense and the secondary on defense. There are still quality NFL-free agents out on the market for Green Bay to sign.
The Green Bay Packers are Urged To Sign Cornerback Stephon Gilmore Before Mandatory Minicamp

One of the biggest question marks heading into this season is the cornerback position. Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes will be the projected starting cornerbacks for this season, but their health is a major question mark.
Green Bay does not have much depth after that. They should have addressed that position better in the NFL Draft, but they are taking a risk on a seventh-round pick (Kalen King) to make the 53-man roster and break out during training camp.
General manager Brian Gutekunst could have done a better job addressing the cornerback position in the 2024 NFL Draft. Sayre Bedinger of dairylandexpress.com thinks that the Green Bay Packers should sign cornerback Stephon Gilmore before the mandatory minicamp begins next week.
Bedinger wrote:
“The cornerback position needs to be addressed for the Green Bay Packers. We already mentioned the situation with Eric Stokes heading into a contract year in 2024, but what about the fact that the Packers missed out completely early on in the NFL Draft when it comes to this position?
n the first round, the Packers were jumped by their own division rivals — the Detroit Lions — who jumped one spot ahead of them to take Alabama star cornerback Terrion Arnold. In the second round, the Packers were jumped one spot by the Philadelphia Eagles for Iowa cornerback Cooper DeJean, who was one of the best value picks on the second day of the draft regardless of position.
Needless to say, the Packers got the short straw when it came to the NFL Draft at the cornerback position. And a veteran like Stephon Gilmore could be a necessity at some point this offseason.
The Packers should see if Eric Stokes can sink or swim, but Gilmore was really good last year for the Cowboys, allowing less than 60 percent of passes into his coverage to be completed. The Packers got the better of he and the Cowboys in the postseason, but hey — if you can’t beat ’em…
Gilmore has been flirting with the idea of signing closer to home with the Carolina Panthers, but the Packers could come swoop in and make him a strong offer to play one of what will likely be his final years in the NFL in Green Bay.”
Gilmore is a five-time pro bowler and would help improve the Green Bay Packers secondary in a hurry. A season ago with the Dallas Cowboys, he had 68 tackles, one forced fumble, two interceptions, and 13 pass deflections.

Stephon Gilmore was the top cornerback on Dallas’s roster last season after Trevon Diggs suffered a season-ending injury in Week 2. Gilmore would make any secondary better right away and the Green Bay Packers should take a look at signing him, especially if someone goes down with an injury.
