The Green Bay Packers were able to keep an offensive lineman with the team on Monday. The Packers placed a tender on offensive lineman Yosh Nijman earlier this offseason. The deal would have allowed for any NFL team to match the Packers one year offer of $4.3 million. The Packers had a first right of refusal for Nijman’s potential new contract and would have been compensated a second-round pick from the team that signed him.

According to Rob Demovsky with ESPN, the Nijman signed his restricted free agent tender Monday. He will remain with the Packers for the 2023 season, and will have a salary of $4.3 million.

Nijman started in 13 games for the Packers in 2022. He has started 21 total games in his three year career in Green Bay. Nijman earned a 63.1 overall grade from Pro Football Focus for his play during the 2022 season. He gave up just five sacks in 448 pass blocking attempts. Nijman had ten penalties for his 756 snaps. He played at left an right tackle last season.
