The Green Bay Packers have added a versatile free-agent safety to their roster. They have signed Tarvarius Moore who played four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.

How Does Moore Fit on the Green Bay Packers?
Moore has made 13 starts in his NFL career but has been a regular special teams player. The Packers’ special team took a step in the right direction last season, but the unit is still far from great. During his time in San Francisco, Moore recorded 1,096 special teams snaps. Moore also played 1,046 snaps on defense at safety. Moore has one career interception and it came against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Rudy Ford is an unrestricted free agent and the Moore signing increases the chances that he is not brought back. Moore has experience starting at safety and can fill a hole on special teams. Moore missed the entirety of 2021 with an Achilles injury but came back in 2022 as a primary special teamer.
Adrian Amos is still an option, but there is no word on whether or not he will be back with the Green Bay Packers. Darnell Savage did not have a good season, but he turned things around to close the year out. Moore could end up playing quite a bit on defense just as Ford did.
