The Green Bay Packers have plenty of things to work on as they prepare to play the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2.
The defense does have issues to address as they failed to contain Jalen Hurts during their opening game in Brazil. The coaching staff needs to make the necessary adjustments to make sure the team will be able to compete with the Colts and the rest of the NFL.
They also have a problem at QB as Jordan Love will be out for a while due to a knee injury he sustained in Brazil. While he will not be able to play for the Packers for a good while, he will not miss a significant chunk of the season.
The QB room isn’t the only area of the offense the Packers can strengthen, though. While there were a couple of promising performers during Week 1, there’s still no solid WR1 in the roster.
As they search for the top option in this year’s roster, strengthening the available WR options would only do wonders for the squad. This is what the Packers did with one of their recent acquistions.
Green Bay Packers sign former Patriot WR TJ Luther to practice squad
In an effort to provide more cover to the WR room, the Green Bay Packers picked up TJ Luther.
Aaron Wilson was among the first to report about the acquisition:

The 24-year-old wideout didn’t get drafted into the NFL, but he’s shown enough that NFL teams are taking him in as part of their respective practice squads. While it’s unlikely that he will get to play with the Packers, having a quality player in the practice squad will allow the squad to cover their bases should the WR room get hit by the injury bug.
